This policy explains what TCMS stores in your browser, why, and how to change your mind. It covers the TCMS marketing site and the TCMS dashboard, both operated by PayAnchor (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2021/718034/07, 22 Century Boulevard, Riversands, Johannesburg). How we handle the rest of your personal information is in the Privacy Policy.
A cookie is a small text file a website saves in your browser and sends back on later visits. We also keep a few values in your browser's local storage, which stays on your device and is not sent with requests. This policy treats both the same way and calls them "cookies" where the distinction does not matter.
Cookies fall into three groups. The first is needed for TCMS to work and is always on. The other two are off until you allow them, and you can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings in the footer.
tcms_sessiontcms_csrf__cf_bmtcms.cookieConsent (local storage)These are used because they are needed to provide a service you have asked for, so no consent is required for them.
tcms_profile (local storage)tcms_refIf you turn Preferences off, the dashboard opens on your first Profile each time and referral codes have to be typed in.
The marketing site uses Microsoft Clarity to understand which pages help and which get in the way. Clarity records anonymous page views and session recordings of clicks and scrolling. Text you type into forms is masked before it leaves your browser, and your IP address is not stored. Clarity is not used in the dashboard.
Clarity loads only after you allow analytics. It sets these cookies:
_clck_clskCLIDANONCHK, MR, MUID, SMClarity is provided by Microsoft and the data is processed in the United States and the European Union. Microsoft's own cookie policy is at privacy.microsoft.com. Our terms with Microsoft require it to protect your information to a standard substantially similar to POPIA.
TCMS sets no advertising cookies, does not sell browsing data and does not share it with social networks or advertising platforms. No cookie on TCMS is used to identify you by name; the dashboard knows who you are from your sign-in session, not from a cookie.
Open Cookie settings in the footer of any page at any time. Turning analytics off stops Clarity loading and deletes the _clck and _clsk cookies immediately; the Microsoft cookies on clarity.ms and bing.com are outside our control and expire on their own, or you can clear them in your browser. Turning preferences off deletes tcms_profile and tcms_ref.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary cookies the dashboard will not be able to keep you signed in.
We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any material change to this policy, and the date at the top will change. If we add a new cookie that needs your consent, the banner will ask you again.
